If you have any access to the internet and you haven’t been exposed to the best weekend you’ll have in 2018, I’m not sure where you’ve been.
After a 5 year hiatus, the The Rumble will return to Cobra Lounge in Chicago IL, on Friday, April 27th and Saturday, April 28th. The first announcement was handed out via flyers at a show in Chicago on Saturday, and announced online officially the next day at noon.
The first round of bands are:
-Gary, Indiana’s premier idiot hardcore band (shoutout here), No Victory
-Pennsylvania hard rock band, Steel Nation
-Syracuse’s scariest collective of straight edge tough guys, Trail of Lies
-Detroit youth crew greats, Freedom
-New York modern hardcore legends, Incendiary
This is a great range of hardcore of all genres. is a great chance to see some old favorites, as well as bands I never thought I’d be able to see in the area. I’m stoked to see who else will be on it (even though, to be honest, I’m already happy with this). Other previous years of The Rumble have had anywhere from 15-25 bands.
The fest’s promoters, Jon, Taylor, and Shane have been teasing that they have putting this together for quite a long time. They are undoubtedly showing their dedication and hard work already, and I’m more than excited to see what they’ve put together!
